Hi Folks!

Tue Jun 23, 2009, 10:34 AM
Wow! I haven't updated my journal in a LONG time! :blush: Anway, things are going well here. I'm going to Pittsburgh again next week. :dance: YAY! So... I started this new manga called "Her Majesty's Dog" and I really don't understand why it's rated 16+. :confused: It's pretty good so far. :aww:. I'm reading "A Happy Hero" again. It is such a wonderful book but Guo DaLu (the main character) is REALLY dense when it comes to Yan Qi. :giggle: I really like this song I was just listening to. It's called Daffodil Lament by the Cranberries.

Lyrics:

Holdin’ on, that’s what I do,
Since I met you, and it wont be long;
Would you notice if I left you?
And it’s fine for some;
’Cause you’re not the one, you’re not the one;
There, there, there, there, there, there!

All night long, I lay on my pillow;
These things are wrong, I can’t sleep here!
So lovely, so loving, so lovely

I have decided to leave you forever,
I have decided to start things from here,
Thunder and lightning wont change what I’m feelin’,
And the daffodils look lovely today,
And the daffodils look lovely today, look lovely today.

Through, in your eyes, I can see the disguise!
Through, in your eyes, I can see the dismay!
Has anyone seen lightning?
Has anyone looked lovely

And the daffodils look lovely today;
And the daffodils look lovely today!
Look lovely today!

Look lovely, look lovely;
Look lovely, look lovely;
Look lovely, look lovely;
Look lovely, look lovely;
Look lovely, look lovely;
Look lovely, look lovely;
Look lovely, look lovely;
Look lovely, look lovely,
Look lovely!

Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah;
Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah;
Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah;
Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah!

(The Lament of the Monastary proceeds after the music stops, and the hymn becomes once again foreboding.)

PS: Thanks to everyone who liked my poems :thanks:.

Hello, sorry for the late reply.

Thanks for sending bits of the Twin Heroes story. Xiao Yu'er and Su Ying are really a very funny couple.

Somehow I prefer reading comics compared to reading the novel because they can get a bit dry sometimes. I prefer reading short stories or articles in Chinese.

Ah ok.
Its cool that you're learning, glad you're interested. ^w^
English subtitles lol the only bad thing about them is sometimes it's not translated right or they translate the 'ancient chinese speech' weirdly. Especially those phrases and comparisions they use, I have no idea how they manage to translate them in English but I hope you on't have trouble understanding it! XD

Hey, so are you Chinese?

Hello there, fellow wuxia fan. =D *waves*

I seldom see young wuxia fans around.. Did you watch Feng Yun 2(Storm Raiders/Warriors)? I think it was released sometime this year.
